Stemar joint testers are rented and sold as complete units with everything required to perform a joint test barring an air compressor and/or water source to inflate the bladder and pressurize the test area.
Our joint testers may be used for both hydrostatic or pneumatic (air, nitrogen, or any non-toxic non-flammable gas) tests up to 100 psi.

Deflection gauges (also known as pipe mandrels) are used to test sewer pipes for deflection (out of roundness, when the pipe is squished or deformed) per ASTM specifications D3034 and F679. We carry in stock the fixed steel / birdcage style mandrels which are sized to within .02" to meet ASTM requirements.

Stemar traffic plates are designed to safely cover open excavations when work is not being performed in order to open up the roadway or jobsite to vehicle traffic. All Stemar rental plates are made of 1" thick ASTM A-36 grade steel with anti-skid protection (either paint on or CALTRANS approved weld pattern meeting CAT DOT Test 32, friction factor of .35 or greater)
Stemar specializes in emergency / ASAP emergency deliveries of these plates along with any necessary asphalt, trench safety equipment, and/or hand tools the job requires.

Stemar carries the largest inventory of screw jacks in Southern California. Each trench brace (screw jack) has a ball socket joint that tilts for added safety on angular mounting. Whether shoring a trench, holding up a deck, or using to bracing a structure these screw jacks are a time tested construction method that allows competent and experienced contractors to save time and money against other solutions.
Cleaning balls, also known as Jet Balls or Pipe Pigs, are an inexpensive method for cleaning out new lines prior to line acceptance testing or cleaning grease out of existing lines. Commonly used as a less expensive and less damaging option than jetting trucks, these balls are made of natural rubber with eyebolts at each end for tethering and spiral grooves to create a high-power spraying action in the pipeline. We can rent these balls as a complete kit with rope reels and rope jacks on each side of the pipe or by themselves.
Our affordable and easy to use in-stock magnetic locators can be used to find manhole covers, mag & PK nails, marker magnets, corner markers, and curb & valve boxes with varying levels of sensitivity and volume.
